Eggs and Answers XXI: Tourism
Our 21st Eggs & Answers at the Holiday Inn - Clarion was a success with 36 participants. Our thanks to Dave Morris, Director of the Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau, for putting together the tourism panel and giving an overview of the bureau's program. The panel included Meredith Hill / Executive Policy Manager DCNR (PA Wilds Initiative); Larry McFadden / Owner of Top Hill Cabins in Cook Forest (tourism business in Cook Forest) ; and Mike Vereb / General Manager, The Foxburg Inn (how Foxburg is evolving into a destination). Eggs & Answers XV - Is Your Company Prepared to Survive a Disaster? Michael Comiskey, Executive Director the Pittsburgh Regional Business Coalition for Homeland Security spoke to business owners and managers on December 6, 2007 about how a business can better prepare itself for natural or man-made disasters. This event was cosponsored by the Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry, the Clarion County Office of Emergency Services, the Clarion County Economic Development Corporation and the New Bethlehem Area Chamber of Commerce.
Eggs and Answers 19 - A panel from Clarion County Economic Development Corporation’s member banks offered their comments on the economic events of 2008 and their economic forecast for 2009 on December 4, 2008. Members of the panel included:
- Dave Cox, Chairman, President and CEO Emclaire Financial Corp and Chairman of Farmers National Bank
- Malcolm Polley, Executive Vice President and Investment Officer of S & T Bank
- Steven R. Shilling, Senior Vice President, Market Executive, of National City Bank

Your participation will help us to determine what is the communities advanced telecom and high-speed Internet access needs. Once we understand what the needs are, then we will develop an action plan identifying a joint public-private investment plan to strengthen these capabilities in both counties.
