Tuesday Call - July 14, 2009 - PIDA The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority provides low interest financing (3.75% interest rate fixed for up a term of up to 15 years) to eligible manufacturing and industrial companies to purchase, build, and/or renovate buildings. PIDA can now finance up to 60% of the eligible project costs up to $2,000,000 (or up to $2,250,000 at the Keystone Opportunity Zones at the Clarion County Commerce Center or Trinity Point at Monroe). This is an increase from a participation rate of 40%. Eligible companies that employ 50 or less employees at time of approval could borrow up to 70% of the eligible project costs up to $2,000,000 (or up to $2,250,000 at the Keystone Opportunity Zones at the Clarion CountyCommerce Center or Trinity Point at Monroe). Companies are still required to create and/or keep one job for every $35,000 borrowed through the PIDA program.
