What is the CCEDC?
The Clarion County Economic Development Corporation was founded September 18, 1972 under the non-profit corporation law, as an organization to meet the growing demands for continued, sustained economic development in Clarion County. The non-profit corporation is governed by a 16-member board and employees 3 staff.
What is the Mission of the CCEDC?
The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) serves as the primary economic development agency in Clarion County. The EDC provides information, education, resources, and support services to enhance existing business, encourage outside business to locate, and promote the development of new entrepreneurial ventures in the Clarion County region. The EDC is committed to strong self-governance, and improving the well-being and quality of life of Clarion County residents.
What is the Vision of CCEDC?
The vision of the EDC is to develop and establish diverse and sustainable economic growth and stability through strategic alliances and partnerships with both public and private entities. This is achieved through a knowledgeable citizenry, empowering local municipalities and residents and adapting to change. The foundation of our actions is to continue to develop and promote Clarion County as the "destination" for work, for play, and as a place to live.
How does the CCEDC Create Jobs?
- Sponsoring eligible industries for low interest government loans.
- Interfacing with local, county and state officials to reduce obstacles.
- Assisting industries with customized job-training programs
- Assisting businesses with available building and site information.
- Assisting advanced technology industry with support programs.
- Consulting with public or private utilities for efficient advanced planning.
- Assembling and submitting various loan packages.
